Ranger - file manager

10 July, 2020 - 1 min

Ranger is a terminal-based file manager. I don't use its full potential, not even close to it. I find it very useful when I don't know exactly what I'm looking for, and need to see the actual folders and look around. It follows vim keybindings, which as a vim user, makes it very intuitive to use.

Bellow you can see an example use case where I'm browsing a directory, and by pressing l (or right arrow) it opens the file with vim. When I exit vim it comes back to ranger.
